Message: Easter pt 2: The Resurrection - Christ's and Ours (Will Rutt)

Text: I Corinthians 15:50-58

Context: Paul applying the significance of the resurrection of Christ to our future resurrection

Relate: Sandhurst has three services this weekend (Good Friday, Easter Sunrise, and Easter Gathering) - which are you attending, and are you attending any others from other churches? What is exciting you about Easter? Do you have any concerns?
Text: Read I Corinthians 15:50-58. What stands out?
V50: If V50 is the answer, how does it address the question / objection Paul mentions in V35? Have you ever wondered, what will life be like in heaven? How do you imagine it?
V51-4: What is the "mystery" Paul explains, and how is V54 the punchline?
V55: Paul explains this mystery is rooted in history - what passage does he quote? (note the cross reference to the Old Testament there). Look up the OT verse, and see who does the action - what does this tell us about our salvation?
V58: "Therefore..." always indicates a conclusion based on the evidence - how does Paul apply this to our lives? How does V58 connect to the previous verses, and why is it encouraging?
Growth: What is a key application you take from this passage / message?
