Mid-Summer Resources for Parents

As a church, we understand that our families are walking together to raise the children that God has entrusted to us in a way that pleases Him. But we also understand that every family is in a unique place with unique challenges. Here are a couple of resources that might help you where you are right now. You don’t need to check them all out, but it would be great to pick something to help you on the journey.

  1. All of our ParentPartnership material is now available on the kids-page of the Sandhurst site. You can see what we’ll learn every Sunday and Wednesday between now and the end of the year. Check it out! And consider how your family can walk with our church as you teach the faith at home.

  2. Listen to this podcast episode: What Does a Gospel-Centered Family Look Like? There is a lot here to encourage and challenge.

  3. Family discipleship isn’t just for parents. Aunts and Uncles, Don’t Overlook Your Calling.

  4. Oh, and here are some questions to answer before giving a child a phone. The age that kids want phones keeps getting lower and lower. Parents must be intentional and wise.

Have you been helped or challenged by an article, video, podcast, or book lately? One of our church-members sent me this after Father’s Day. It stood out as meaningful. And I’m glad she shared it. Please send me things that have made a difference for you. Thanks! kelly.hayes@sandhurst.net
