Looking Ahead: Q's for Gathering 2/15 & Equipping recap

GATHERING: Q'S for next Sunday February 15

Message: The Insanity of Divisions among Servants (Adam Richardson)

Context: If we (who lead) are servants who share one purpose and one hope - then there is only one team

  1. Relationship: Have you ever had family members estranged from each other? God's family does this too. What can we do to help promote healing and unity in Christ's Church?

  2. Text: Read I Corinthians 3:1-9. Don't rush. What stands out?

  3. V1-2: Paul says they are worldly or fleshly not spiritual. What does he mean?

  4. V3-4: Paul says the root of division and quarrelling is jealousy. Why is jealousy divisive?

  5. V1-4: Summarize the problem in your own words...

  6. V5: What is the solution to division? (Hint: not unity)

  7. V8: What is the "one purpose" Paul describes, and how can we take practical steps to recognize and celebrate different roles while maintaining unity around our purpose?

  8. V9: What is the significance of the Corinthians being "God's" field and building?

  9. Growth: What is a key application you take from this passage / message?
