What’s Coming Up?: Good Friday and More

There is no Kids on Mission this upcoming Wednesday (3/27), but…

That is because we have a special Good Friday event at 5pm on 3/29. There will be a historic reflection on the death of Christ in the sanctuary. And there will be an engaging storytime about the death and resurrection of Jesus for kids from ages 3 through 5th grade at the same time. A nursery will be available for kids 10 months through 2 years old

Here’s how it will work:

5:00 (a little before) — Arrive and sign in any kids. Drop off 10month-2 years olds in the nursery.

5:00 (or a little later) — Good Friday service begins with preK and elementary kids in the service to start.

5:10 (or around that time) — All kids who want to go to the story-time will leave the sanctuary and go to the gym together. The kids will be in the gym and spend some time outside by the cross (if the weather is nice enough). While the kids are doing that, there will be a meaningful, Scriptural reflection on Jesus’ death in the sanctuary.

6:00 — The service will end and kids will be picked up in the gym and at the nursery.

It will be a special time for saints and sinners of all ages. I hope you won’t miss it!

Also, there will be no Kids on Mission on 4/3 due to Spring Break.
