Staff and Elders

Sandhurst is Christ-ruled, elder-led and staff-driven. Elders are the “fathers" in the church, who serve in seasons to lead, feed, protect and care for the family of Christ.

Adam Richardson

After growing up in Macon, GA, Adam spent 17 years serving in Russia with Moscow Bible Church locally and training pastors nationally. He met his wife Heather there, also serving in mission both in Moscow and Siberia. In 2011 the Richardsons moved to England, both to complete the transition of ministry to the Russians as well as to study. Adam received his BA from Vanderbilt (Russian, English), his MA from Dallas Theological Seminary (Biblical Studies), and his PhD from the University of Leicester (History), a study of the life and works of the 17th century English minister Thomas Manton.

Having grown up in GA, Adam enjoys college football (March Madness is OK too), fishing, baseball, water skiing, guitar, mandolin, and grilling. He and his wife Heather were married in 2001 and have three children, which keeps the house hopping.

Tari Dean, Director of Children's Ministry

Tari Dean

Director of Children's Ministry

Tari has served as the Director of Children's Ministry since May of 2016. She graduated from Malone College in Ohio with a degree in elementary education and taught kindergarten and sixth grade for four years before she and her husband Barry moved to Florence in 1988. Thanks to a friendly realtor, they found Church at Sandhurst within weeks of their move and knew immediately they were home when they experienced the excellent Bible teaching and warm welcome of so many other young couples.

In the early '90's, Tari became very involved in children's ministry at the church as God added four children (Heidi, Aaron, Chris, and Lizzy) to their home. After home schooling their children for 16 years, Tari served for 9 years at The King's Academy as board member, teacher, administrator, and admissions director. Now with her own children "leaving the nest," she is excited to be investing in the lives of other young children and their parents. Teaching the Bible is one of her favorite things in the world!

Having spent MANY enjoyable years cheering on her own children as they played a variety of sports, Tari loves watching all kinds of sports with her husband Barry. (Their favorite team is THE Ohio State Buckeyes). She loves reading, the outdoors, camping, traveling, and being in the company of her family and good friends!

The Miles Family is happy to be back in the Pee Dee after serving the last three years as missionaries in France.

Daniel desires to see the family of God engaged in worship. He loves to use the Scriptures during our gatherings to help “tune our hearts to sing His praise”. He is also passionate about walking through life with the family of God and seeing God’s Word applied in our lives. Daniel and Renee have been married since 2005 and have three children. Daniel refuels by canoeing local rivers with his family and tinkering with old stringed instruments.

Will Rutt, Youth Minister

Will Rutt

Youth Minister

Will Rutt joined the Sandhurst staff in the summer of 2013 as the middle school and high school youth pastor. After graduating high school in 2009 he spent a year studying the Bible at Ravencrest, a torchbearer center in Colorado, and then transferred to Columbia International University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Bible Teaching. While Will loves to play sports, games, and hunt, his passion is teaching the Bible and helping students grow in to disciple makers!

Will married his wife, Danielle, in 2013 just before coming on staff. They work together with a team of INCREDIBLE adults to make disciple-makers who love God and are equipped for mission.

Will loves to hunt, play sports, and watch the same movies over and over.
