Hey Sandhurst –

Current Schedule:

8:30 service - masks required for all in the fellowship hall

10:15 service - masks optional in the sanctuary: KIDS programming 0-4th grade

10:15 service - masks required for all in the balcony

Crazy times! It’s a pandemic – and it seems it’s three steps forward, and two back.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

We currently have a touchless, social distanced, mask-required service at 8:30 in the fellowship hall. Our 10:15 service offers both mask-optional seating in the sanctuary, as well as touchless, social distanced, mask-required seating in the balcony. We are asking that people enter and exit with masks.

WHY WE ARE DOING IT

GRACE: There is no one size fits all response to Covid. Some are on lockdown. Some are full forward. Most are in the middle somewhere. We will stay open, seek to meet safely, to reduce the risk of infection, and use common sense. An article in Harvard Business Review (May 2020), We Shouldn’t Wait for a Breakthrough in the Covid-19 Pandemic, reminds us that “big problems typically get tackled through a series of small solutions.” So rather than sit waiting for a small set of big solutions (e.g. vaccine), let’s move forward with a big set of small solutions (masks, hand washing, outdoor activities, smaller groups, etc…). You do what your conscience requires – but offer grace to others who have a different stance.

LIKE PAUL SAID in Romans 14:

Welcome one another, do not quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the [other] eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another?

So as we have freely received grace from God, let us show grace to one another in a tough time.

May the world know us by our love.

We are with you every step!
